Dr. Hoe Ee Khor, AMRO Chief Economist, attended the 12th ASEAN Senior Level Committee (SLC) on Financial Integration meeting in Jakarta on October 14, 2016. The meeting focused on issues of ASEAN financial Integration and reviews the progress reports of the various working groups. Dr Khor gave a presentation on the macroeconomic and financial developments in the region, and some external challenges which was well received by the participants. In particular, the current SLC Co-Chairs, Bank Indonesia and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, recommended the further involvement of AMRO in the monitoring of macroeconomic and financial stability risks as that would help support the financial integration progress in ASEAN.
