Mr. Jiangyan Yu is Group Head and Lead Economist at AMRO, where he leads the Policy and Review Group. His work focuses on strengthening AMRO’s surveillance policies and outputs and enhancing the effectiveness of regional financing arrangements.
Prior to joining AMRO, Mr. Yu spent 17 years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), focusing on program design and lending policies, the review of IMF-supported programs, and country surveillance. He also served as Advisor to the Executive Director at the IMF and as Deputy Director at the People’s Bank of China.
Mr. Yu holds postgraduate degrees in economics and finance from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies and the George Washington University, respectively.
