Mr. Feng Gong

Mr. Gong became Group Head of Strategy and Coordination in March 2017, being responsible for AMRO’s strategy and work program, communication and coordination with ASEAN+3 authorities, partnerships with peer organizations; public relations, and organization of institutional events.

Prior to joining AMRO, Mr. Gong had worked in the International Department, Ministry of Finance, China, from 2002 to 2016. In this capacity, he was extensively engaged in numerous important multi-lateral and bilateral economic cooperation, including ASEAN+3 Financial Cooperation, APEC Finance Ministers’ Process, G20 Financial Track, ASEM Finance Ministers’ Process, and related policy researches. From 2008 to 2011, Mr. Gong was Advisor to the Executive Director of China for the Asia Development Bank. Before joining Ministry of Finance of China, he worked in several domestic financial institutions from 1994 to 1999.

Mr. Gong holds a Master’s Degree in Finance of the School of Finance at Tsinghua University, China.
