Dr Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc is currently the country desk economist for Indonesia at AMRO, and has provided support for country surveillance on Malaysia and Vietnam.
Before taking up the position as AMRO economist in 2013, Dr Nguyen had a brief stint with the organization as an Asian Development Bank consultant working on data and Vietnam issues. Prior to that, she worked for the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam where she was mainly involved in ASEAN and ASEAN+3 financial cooperation, Vietnam’s macroeconomic analysis, and financial markets regulation and supervision.
Dr Nguyen holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy and a Ph.D. degree in Political Sciences from the National University of Singapore.
