Mr. Viet Hoai Le

Mr. Viet Hoai Le joined AMRO in December 2021 as a secondee from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV). At AMRO, he covers the country surveillance for Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand.

Prior to joining AMRO, Mr. Le worked as Deputy Head of Financial Infrastructure Division with SBV. He was responsible for drafting and formulating Vietnam’s legal framework on financial stability, designing macro-prudential policy instruments, and preparing key financial stability reports. Besides, he was involved in the research and development of Vietnam’s macroprudential indicators and conducted risk assessment on financial leverage of the non-financial sector in Vietnam.

Mr. Le holds a Master’s degree in Finance from La Trobe University, Australia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Hanoi Foreign Trade University, Vietnam.
