Mr. Jie QIN was appointed Group Head of Strategy and Coordination in June 2022. He is responsible for AMRO’s strategy and work program, coordination and relationship management with ASEAN+3 authorities, partnerships with peer organizations, and corporate communications.

Prior to joining AMRO, Mr. Qin worked in the Ministry of Finance of China from 2002 to 2022 where he spent most of his career in the area of international economic and financial cooperation. He served in various positions, including his previous appointment as the Director for Regional Financial Cooperation, Department of International Economic Relations. He gained rich experience in financial cooperation with International Financial Institutions, ASEAN+3 financial cooperation as well as G20 financial cooperation.

From 2017 to 2019, Mr. Qin served as an Advisor in the Executive Director’s Office for China in Asian Development Bank in Manila. From 2006 to 2008, he served as a Program Assistant in the Executive Director’s Office for China in the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Qin holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication and a Master of Economics from the Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences.
