Mr. Naoto Watanabe is a CMIM Specialist at the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO). He joined the AMRO in July 2019. He is responsible for supporting members in designing, implementing, and evaluating a CMIM-supported program and policies; as well as developing a policy framework for the CMIM related work in collaboration with AMRO’s surveillance team.
Before joining the AMRO, Mr. Watanabe spent his career at the Ministry of Finance, Japan for more than 25 years. He focused on enhancing regional and international cooperation, IMF and MDBs policy matters, and development areas.
Mr. Watanabe holds a graduate diploma in commerce from the University of Sydney, Australia.
