Mr. Sotheareach Sok

Mr. Sotheareach Sok joined the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) in February 2021 as a secondee from Cambodia’s Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF). At AMRO, he covers the fiscal sector for country surveillance for Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Thailand.

In Cambodia, Mr. Sok worked as a junior economist in the General Department of Policy at MEF. He was in charge of monitoring the fiscal development, conducting research on tax policies, and coordinating the implementation of the Revenue Mobilization Strategy. Besides, he was involved in research on topics related to the digital economy and economic transformation in Cambodia.

Mr. Sok holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Banking from University of Economics and Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts in English for Professional Communications from Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
