The “Deepening Asian Economic and Financial Cooperation, Promoting Regional Integrated Development” seminar was taken place in Beijing China on October 21, 2016, with the focus on issues of the accessibility and effectiveness of the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralization (CMIM). Participants also discussed how the international organisation as well as national authorities within the region could enhance their monitoring of regional macro economy, bring AMRO and IMF into full play, and build up a regional financial safety net in accordance with Asia’s practice, thereby better safeguarding financial stability in Asia. Hosted by the International Economics and Finance Institute (IEFI), China Ministry of Finance (MOF), the seminar was attended by Mr. Shi Yaobin, Vice Minister of China MOF and Mr. Yasuto Watanabe, AMRO Deputy Director, among other officials and researchers from the MOF, international organizations, and think tanks.
