SMU-IFA David R Tillinghast Global Taxation Conference 2022

The SMU Law School Centre for AI and Data Governance and IFA are proud to present the SMU-IFA David R Tillinghast Global Digital Taxation Webinar on February 17-18, 2022. This follows the success of the inaugural global Digital Economy Symposium in Singapore in 2016 and subsequent international taxation conferences which brought together leading regional and international tax, business industry leaders and tax administrators in a top-level forum to discuss cutting edge issues on international taxation.

AMRO is one of the supporting institutions for this year’s webinar, which will focus on the impact to Asia of the OECD-G20 global consensus (BEPS 2.0) and the rise of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), with international experts providing a comparative angle, the OECD updating on the latest initiatives and Asian leaders giving insights on unique Asia-Pacific perspectives.

AMRO Group Head and Lead Economist Dr. Seung Hyun (Luke) Hong will be participating as a speaker and will deliver a presentation on the use of tax incentives in ASEAN to promote growth on Day 2 of the program, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM (Singapore time) in the session ‘Tax Policy as a Means to Achieve Fiscal, Climate Sustainability and economic growth enroute to COVID recovery’.
